Purchased Goods
eBooks and other Software
eBooks are not like normal books; they are actually software. Due to the nature of the technology, an ebook cannot be lent, rented out, borrowed, distributed, or re-sold without making a copy, which violates applicable copyright laws. To protect the authors, us, and you from violations of copyright law, eBooks and other downloadable software (software) purchased from this site are sold to you with the following conditions:
- You are purchasing a non-transferrable, limited, individual, perpetual license to use the software (the ebook) in accordance with these terms and conditions. You are not purchasing "your own copy" of the software or ebook. Your rights to use the software or ebook are described in these Terms and Conditions.
- You may not give, lend, borrow, copy, re-sell, or otherwise distribute the software or ebook to anyone. If a friend wants to read it, please send them to this website so that they can purchase their own license.
- You may not alter the software or ebook in any way.
- You may use the software or ebook on any of your devices, as long as they are YOUR devices. You may loan your device to a friend to read or use, that's OK, as long as they do not make their own copies of the ebook or software.

Returning Goods
To return goods purchased directly from Wise Earth Publishers (other than digital goods which cannot be returned), please package it and send it back to us. You must pay the return postage.
If you purchased books from one of our distributors or retailers, please deal directly with them; we cannot offer refunds in such cases, but they might.
Goods returned to us must be undamaged and in the original packaging for a full refund. We will also charge a 15% restocking fee against the refunded amount. We cannot refund any customs duties or shipping charges.
In case goods are undelivered (the customer refuses delivery, the address is wrong, or some other reason) the customer must pay the return shipping. If the customer would like to re-attempt delivery, they must again pay the new shipping charges. Our margins are very small, and we can't absorb losses that aren't our fault.
Refund Policy
If you are due a refund, we will issue a gift certificate, valid in our online store, for the amount. While we would love to just send your money back, life just isn't so simple, and currently we are only able to offer refunds in kind. You can make purchases against this gift certificate. Our refund gift certificates do not expire, and multiple gift certificates can be lumped together. Currently it is not technically possible to share your gift certificate with other people, but if you would like to do that, get in touch, and we'll figure something out.
Your Privacy
Any and all personal information that you give us here in the course of using this site (names, email addresses, etc.) is confidential, to be held in trust, and will never be sold, traded, or communicated in any way to any third party, under any circumstance, except as mandated by law, or as permitted by you. If you would like your personal information removed from our database, please Send us an Email, and we will do our best to comply with your wishes. Wise Earth Publishers or the Wise Earth Family may use your information from time to time to send notices or important information to you, but we won't spam. By providing your information, you agree to receive such communications.
Wise Earth Publishers does not collect any financially sensitive information from you; all financial transactions are handled securely by a well-known and verified third party. This third party is responsible for the security of your information and the transaction. We may not be held responsible for unauthorised charges to your financial accounts.
Information submitted to third-party sites (such as payment gateways) is governed by the privacy policy of that third party, and we're sorry, but we cannot make any guarantees on that third party's behalf.
