New Books! Released with H.E. Ambassador Nazareth (Retd.) and H.E Ambassador Sajjanhar (Sweden, Latvia)
On the occasion of His Excellency Retired Ambassador Nazareth's visit to Stockholm, Wise Earth Publishers author Dr. P. Kamala Willey and Linkesh Diwan were honored to have the opportunity to release our two latest books: Gandhi and My Hometown: Chaplin, CT, USA and other Essays, and Discovering the Penance of Speech, at the India House in Stockholm. The first copies were presented to India's Ambassador to Sweden and Latvia, H.E. Ambassador Ashok Sajjanhar, and H.E.. Ambassador P.A. Nazareth (Retd.) in the ambassador's residence.H.E. Nazareth served in the Indian Foreign Service for many years, as India's ambassador to 15 different countries and in the national government of India. Following his retirement, he continues to work to spread the best of India around the world, as the founder of the Sarvodaya Trust.Gandhi and My Hometown is a collection of four enlightening essays dealing with environmental protection, community cohesion leading to worldwide localization, radical personalism, and educational reform. They bring a refreshing and progressive outlook, showing with examples how powerful societal change can be orchestrated from simple beginnings.In Discovering the Penance of Speech, Dr. P. Kamala Willey examines the power of the word, in many of the world's great faiths: including Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Native American belief systems, Judaism, Bahai, and modern science. M.K. Gandhi and My Hometown, Chaplin, CT and other Essays, has a discussion on education through John Lennon's song, ``Working Class Hero", utilizing ideas from Helena Norberg Hodge and Vandana Shiva.
Your children might also enjoy to see Helena's movie, ``Ancient Futures" . Her book of the same name has been translated into over 42 languages. Both the movie and the book are impelling in their message for all of us.
