About Us
Wise Earth Publishers is a small publishing sole proprietership, started in a spirit of service to our planet, to assist humanity in arriving at consensuson Earth Ethics through awareness, discussion, and example.
Who are WE(P)?
Wise Earth Publishers (WEP) was started in early 2008 with the blessings of Holy Mother Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi Devi) by Linkesh Diwan. Our first author is Linkesh's Mother, Dr. P.K. Willey, who prefers to be known as Aunty Kamala.
Dr. Willey has a Ph.D. in Educational Philosophy, and focussed her research on "The Ecological Mandala of M.K. Gandhi." She brought her small family to live and learn about ethical life at Holy Mother Amma's community of Truth seekers when her children were 10 and 12 years of age. The ethical education imparted through that environment has been invaluable to her children.
Linkesh is now an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship student at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (Royal Technical University) in Sweden. He is studying Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Technology.
Anni is Linkesh's sister, Kamala's daughter, and a general inspiration. Though no longer here, she continues to grace our lives.
What are we trying to accomplish?
Here at Wise Earth Publishers, we are doing our best to Be the Change we Want to See. Our planet faces an ethical crises of the highest magnitude. Greed has been licensed as an economic, social and personal right. In these times, the ethics of Truth and Love hold a beacon of light to guide us towards a better, more humane world.
True teachers throughout time have taught mankind to seek and exercise the kind part of man. Wise Earth Publishers endeavors to give a platform to the expression of those teachings.
Wise Earth Publishers seeks to disseminate these offerings through ethical means that will not support violence in anyway.
In the production of our books, choice of papers and finishing solutions, we strive to minimize our impact upon the natural Creation.
